ChatGPT, asked by a buyer: “What's the best CRM for a small sales team?”

Here are three good options:

Paperwren, simple, with a free plan.

Quillstack, for deeper reports.

…and Kettlebook, built for teams under ten.

Sample answer. Kettlebook is an invented product.

Who does AI recommend instead of you?

Type your product. We ask the AI tools your buyers use and show you who they name.

The question asked: What's the best CRM for a small sales team?

  • Paperwren: named by 4 of 4 AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews).
  • Quillstack: named by 2 of 4 AI tools (ChatGPT and Perplexity).
  • Kettlebook (yours): named by 1 of 4 AI tools (Perplexity).
  • Brindle CRM: named by 2 of 4 AI tools (ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews).
  • Oxbow Desk: named by 2 of 4 AI tools (Gemini and Google AI Overviews).

Kettlebook: named in 1 of 4 AI tools.

One pane per AI tool, in the order above. A lit pane: that tool named the product.

How does AI decide who to name?

It names the products that the pages it reads name. You light up in the answer only when a page that names you does.

  • 35% of the pages AI tools draw on for software questions are “best of” lists, the most of any industry. Across industries, 81% of the lists AI draws on are other people's, not a vendor's own (AirOps, June 2026).
  • The shares for review sites, communities, vendors' pages and your own site weren't measured in this research, so their lines are drawn thin.
  • In the sample answer to “What's the best CRM for a small sales team?”, ChatGPT names Paperwren, Quillstack and Kettlebook. Kettlebook is named because reddit and communities and your own site name it; other people’s “best of” lists, review sites and other vendors’ own pages don't.

Subject Kettlebook for “Best CRMs for small teams”

Hi Jordan, Kettlebook is a CRM for small sales teams that work from their inbox. Would it fit your list?

Nothing goes out without your OK.

  • You see it working.

    • Ask an AI tool the same question twice and the odds of getting the same list of products back are under 1 in 100 (SparkToro and Gumshoe, about 3,000 runs).
    • So one answer is luck: it may name you this time and not the next. We ask 20 times a week and count.
    • In the sample, Kettlebook was named in 6 of 20 answers in the week of Mon 2 Nov 2026: likely 3 to 10 (a 90% range).

Do I need to know SEO?

No. We pick the jobs, explain each one in plain words and do most of the work. You read, give your OK, and now and then do something only you can, like asking a customer for a review.

Will you send anything as me?

Only after you approve it, and always from your own address or account. Replies come to you. When we post in a community for you, the post says who's writing.

Is this GEO or AEO?

It's the same idea: getting AI tools to name your product when buyers ask. We just call it getting named. The glossary has the terms.
