What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Starting with the free check, because most people meet us there.
The short version
This describes how outshone is being built. Counsel will confirm it before launch.
- The free check stores what you type and what the AI tools said. That's the product name or website you enter; the buyer questions we asked; the answers each AI tool gave; and the result page with its link, so you can come back to it.
- The free check doesn't ask who you are. No name, no email, no account.
- We keep a short record to stop overuse. To limit checks to a few a day per visitor, we keep [what we keep, for example a scrambled network address] for [N hours].
- Result links are hidden from search engines. Anyone you share a result link with can open it, but search engines are asked not to list it. Results are kept for [N days]; you can ask us to delete one sooner.
- No advertising cookies, no cookie banner. We count visits with [cookieless analytics tool], which sets no cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites.
- When you sign up, we store what your account needs. Your email, your product and its website, the buyer questions and rivals we track, and the work we do for you: the answers we check, the jobs we pick, the drafts you approve, and the emails sent from your address after your OK. We use it to run outshone for you. [Full list of uses and legal bases]
- You're in charge of your data. Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [Privacy email].
